I can't believe we are in March, where did February go? My desk has not changed in the last 2 weeks, no activity at all! Its not that bad I've had house guests my Mum and Dad decided to visit they retired to Scotland we live in Staffordshire. It was nice having them here, we did lots of antique fares and garden centres.
And this is my grandson Usher on his second birthday. Its so nice to see him running around without any tubes, wires or monitors attached to him.

This was taken 2 days after he was born 14 weeks prem, weighting 1lb 12oz he was in hospital for 4 months. We new he was going to be early and every thing was done that could be done to prepare. And we had been there before with his big sister she was born at 30 weeks, so we new what to expect.
So today i thought I would share my felted bowl that I showed you a few weeks ago.
Now let me say I am not a knitter and if I can manage to do this anybody can. The great thing with this method is it hides any mistakes and take my word for it there were quite a few.....
This was my trial piece i really want to make a bag and will have another go after mothers day and few birthdays are out of the way.
The pattern was taken from Knit and Felt Bags by BEV BEATTIE.
I went to my local wool shop for supplies, where i can i want to support shops and not to order on line so it wasn't exactly what was in the book. That is why I decided to do a bowl also the round needles that its knitted on were longer than what it said i needed in the book. I just added more stitches for this project. To make a bag I will have to order the needles on line as I cannot get them anywhere locally.
I really enjoyed making this, I even found myself watching the washing machine to see if it was shrinking!!
and I will send you a copy. The only thing I changed was the number of stitches.
The biggest problem I had with it was keeping CoCo away from my wool.
This what she does to wool.
Join in the fun at
